Was wondering if anyone had deployed GRE tunnel between Aruba mobility controllers running on different ArubaOS version.

For example, MC7210 (ArubaOS 6.5) L2 GRE tunnel to MC7210 (ArubaOS 8.4). Is there any potential issue for such setup?

It absolutely works regardless of versions

Thanks a lot! Am I also right to say the controller tunnel group will only work with another Aruba controller? Its not possible to have a GRE tunnel from Aruba controller to ..... say a Cisco router.

Tunnel groups are in ArubaOS-only feature.  I have only seen a layer 3 GRE tunnel between an Aruba device and a Cisco device.

I'm GRE tunneling 6.4.x.x, 6.5.x.x and 8.5.x.x controllers with no problems.

The iAP clusters which participate are segregated to theis respective matched-version controller (6.4 iAP to 6.4 controller, 8.5 iAP ti 8.5 controller etc.)
