Users are constantly being disconnected from the network and receiving notices of limited access. The thought is to reset the controller which has been up for 160 days, as well as the AP's. Has anyone else experienced this issue.

Are the clients getting a valid address? This is often caused by a DHCP server running out of leases.

    Iwilliams,

What version of ArubaOS are you running?

What kind of access points are deployed?

Are you using encryption on that SSID and if so, what kind?

What type of clients are being disconnected?

We've seen this on 6.4.2.2,.  Most of these reports are with AP-225s with 80MHz but we don't have a strong read on that factor yet.  For the case where it happens after hibernation on an MS Surface, there may be relief coming soon from Microsoft, but we've seen it on other Win8.1 systems as well.  We think we'e seen a correltion with the machines being set to host authentication versus user, but we are still waiting for more solid data back on that.

(Edited to add: we've done a bit of diagnosis on the post-hibernation Surface case, and can see the system sending WiFi packets in and the AP sending reply packets back out, but the OS never sees tham, even in wireshark.)

Is there a driver Update? It almost sounds like the NIC is not Rx when it wakes from hibernate.

We were able to test a non-hibernation, non-Surface case today.  We did not get the same results in this case.  Despite the fact that there was no response to pings from the commandline, both the ipv4 stats under netsh and the interface Get-NetAdapterStatistics (which worked on this system whereas it just returns all zeros on the Surface) saw input packets on the wifi interface.

Have you tried rebooting your AP :-)

No seriously, this week we found that at least some of these issues may creep

up over time, so if you can afford to, reboot some APs near a problem client and

see if yours are of that ilk.
