How many IPSec Tunnels support the Virtual Appliance Mobility Controller?

Hi

I can't find any documentation related to this topic, how many IPSec tunnels a Virtual Appliance Mobility Controller can support. We need to implement a VPN Concentrator using the virtual appliance version of an MC and VIA agents. In order to seizing the correct license of an MC-VA  with VIA  (I guess) we need to know how many ipsec tunnels it support.

Does anyone knows the answer?

thanks

Re: How many IPSec Tunnels support the Virtual Appliance Mobility Controller?

I haven't found a datasheet or document with clear statement, but mathematically as per the 7000 series, it is the number of AP x 16 pr AP x 32 as for example:

7205 supports 256 x 16 = 4,096 ip sec sessions

7210 supports 512 AP x 32= 16,384 ip sec sessions

7240 supports 2,048 x 16 = 32,768 ip sec sessions

7280 supports 2,048 x 16 = 32,768 ip sec sessions

Or maybe there is a relation with the number of supported concurrent devices, since the numbers match on the 7,000 series, so in that case:

VMC50 - 4k
VMC250 - 8k
VMC 1k - 24k

MC 100 - 10k

MC 500 - 50k

MC 1,000- 100k

This is just my assumption/guess and nothing confirmed or official.
