The RAP 109 runs Aruba OS and the MSR runs MeshOS.  I don't believe you can link these together.

    Hi Seth,

Thanks for your information. I read from Validate Reference Design

http://www.arubanetworks.com/pdf/technology/OMWN_VRD_2012-01-04%20(1).pdf on page 72 (Remote Thin AP Endpoints Overlaid on AirMesh) that we can combine Aruba OS and Aruba AirMeshsolution for utilizes network with difficult coverage area. Please let me know if there is explanation, thanks for your kind help.

    Regards

You can run a Mesh network of AirMesh products and then run ArubaOS / IAP traffic over the AirMesh links.  In this case AirMesh is simply acting as the transport mechanism / plumbing and it doesn't care what is running through it.   The RAP 10x cannot join in the Mesh network itself but can ride over it.

    Hi Marcus,

Thanks for your explanation, Is there possible to forward traffic from RAP to Backbone through MSR because in our RAP 109 doesn't have physical connection to backbone. Just for your info, the distance from RAP to MSR arround 150-200 meters.

if there is related configuration documents for this issue, could you provide to me? Thanks for your kind help

    Regards

Unfornately you will need additional hardware.   Your best bet will be to get an MST200 and use it to connect to the MSR2000.   You can then wire the RAP-109 to the MST200.

    Something like this:

    RAP-109 -----Eth0-----MSR2000 -------- 5GHz Mesh -------MST200 ---- Eth0 ----RAP-109

On the MSR2000 you would need either a 5GHz Omni antenna or a directional antenna such as the ANT-5314.   The MST200 has, essentially, the ANT-5614 built-in.
