    im trying to figure out how to move an MD to a newly created Group folder?

    im clicking on the + at the side of the group name and entering the details of the controller i would like to add to the group but im getting "error: device <mac-address> already exists"

    using version 8.2.

    Regards

    Adam.

    Type "show switches debug" and see if the controller already exists.  if it does, just delete it and then re-create it in the proper context.  I believe the ability to move a controller only exists in 8.4 and above.

    Thank you for responding buddy.

    Unfortunately i can see this being a painful process as the controller is all configured and running version 8.2, and would need to raise a change request with the customer to upgrade.
    I think for now we will just leave it as is. As its not really causing any issues, would just have kept things a little tidier in the hierarchy.
