    Hi all,

Recently I installed three AP-275 access points on controller which is running OS 6.4 and unfortunatly APs are showing under air monitors. Kindly help me to reprovision those as AP default profile.

    Regards,
    Darshana priyanjan

Go to AP installation, select the 3 APs and provision them to the appropriate group.

I did it and no luck at all. Even I removed aps from the data base using CLI. But still the same. I think they are not provisioned under any AP profile but air minitors.

You'll also want to make sure you're providing 802.3at power and have LLDP turned on in the switch. If you don't provide this power the AP will shut down the radios.

there might be an issue with their country settings, if no channels are allowed they fallback to airmonitors i believe. which country is the system setup for?

If using external Poe injectors and the switch is Poe be sure to disable Poe in the switch as I've seen that cause issues.

Type "show ap database" to see if your access points have flags.  Also, what is the exact version of 6.4 that you are running?

Check to see if your APs will work in your regulatory domain using the command in the post here:  http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Controller-Based-WLANs/How-do-I-check-allowed-channels-for-an-AP-with-respect-to/ta-p/176776

6.4.2.3 has already been declared GA  The version you are running is the first version of 6.4.0.0; it is the first release of 6.4 and was released 2014-02-12.  You need to upgrade to 6.4.2.3 to see if it helps you.

It is a very frequent problem

when the AP is not add to the regulatory domain in question, pending the update you can change the regulation domain of the APgroup to which the AP belongs (apgroup> regulatiy domain); i it's not a very orthodox method but it help , especially that the update for some countries comes late, so just choose the a regulatory domain close to your country .

    rchahboune,

If a user is already running ArubaOS 6.4, on their controller they should only need to download the newest regulatory table .dat file in the DRT folder on the support site.  The .dat file has the updated country regulatory domain information and can be imported on any controller running 6.4.x so that the user can get the newest regulatory updates while avoiding updating the ArubaOS code to support newly approved regulatory domains.

Instructions on downloading and installing the regulatory table is here:  http://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/ArubaOS_64_Web_Help/Web_Help_Index.htm#ArubaFrameStyles/Management_Utilities/DownloadableRegulatoryTable.htm
