How can we backup the configuration and more importantly the information to supply to tech support such as the
var/log/oslog/tech-support.log and other log files to your management PC, through GUI and or CLI?
YOu could script that every night at 2:00am a script logs into the controller via SSH and tar's up the files, then at 2:10am logs into the controller and ftp or tftp's the files off to x machine... One SW package that i have heard of is Kiwi CatTools
Cool, but could you please remind me how to create the tar file which contains all the logs, specifically the files for tech-support?
CLI = tar logs tech-support
GUI see attached file, don't forget to chect the box outlined in red
