Quick question that I can't seem to find the answer to: How many users/devices can you put on an IAP-105, does this number vary from what we use on a controller based deployment (Ie. 15-25) for best performance?

    Thanks,
    Francisco

It is pretty much dependent on the application. Web and email are very well behaved, so you can get 30 or 40 users on each device in a pinch, if they are using web and email. Voice, we're looking at no more than 10 to 12 on each AP.

These are just numbers that I have observed personally per AP.

Please look at the presentation here:  http://community.arubanetworks.com/t5/Community-Knowledge-Base/Designing-High-Density-Wireless-LANs/ta-p/20428 for a more scientific approach.  There are quite a few variables that influence numbers of users.
