IPS/IDS Signatures

When is updated the ips ids signatures database? it is when you upgrade the firwmare?

For example if i got a fortigate it autodownload new signatures( as you can configure when you want to download them) but in aruba when does this signatures update? do they update with Firmware updates?

Cheers

Carlos

Re: IPS/IDS Signatures

I would only expect updates when they are announced, period.  I would not expect updates in minor releases of code, is my point.

Re: IPS/IDS Signatures

They are usually updated only in major revisions of code.  You have the option of creating your own signatures, as well.

Re: IPS/IDS Signatures

Major version

Do you mean like

6.1 to 6.2?

or 6.1.2 to 6.1.3? There is any update in ips signature here?

Cheers

Carlos
