Hi all,

Just a quick question. I've go thru the airwave 8.2 server sizing and found that it only support RAID 10 which is 1+0.

Does it mean RAID1 is supported as well?

Please advise.

RAID 1 is technically slower than RAID10. If you can build an array of disks that meet the IOPS requirement in RAID1, you would be fine, but the disks would likely need to be SSDs, or your AMP would need to be sufficiantly small such that a low IOPS count is required.

How many devices and clients, and what types of devices will your AMP be monitoring?

less than 100 monitored devices ..aruba AP + controller.

Clients i'm not sure.

Just meet the IOPS requirement for that amount of devices (100 devices should be around 500 clients, give or take), and you should be fine. Just note that RAID1 is usually at or slightly below the single disk IOPS value (if you have a validated controller, they will provide IOPS costs). 

Also, RAID10 is faster than RAID0 in most cases, which is why RAID10 is the recommendation and the one TAC will support.

For that small of a device count you should be fine.
