I want to change the name of one WLAN.

I know I can rename the SSID, but I want to change the name of the WLAN.  Running 6.3 on a 3400 controller.

    thanks

You mean change the profile name? No but in the cli do this

    ssid-profile "new name"
    clone "old profile name"

That will get you all the settings under the new name. Just add it to the VAP profile and ap group and you're done.

Thanks, but I would like to change the wlan name itself. I know I can 'save as' (or duplicate) all of the profiles, but would like a simple 'rename' function.

because it's a config-line command under the covers, there's no real'rename' function. The best way is to clone your settings on the WLAN you want to change the name of, then re-apply it to the group, get rid of the one you didn't like, etc.
