Please login using console with a serial cable (e.g. you must be infront of the controller):

    Login: password

    Password: forgetme!

Then go into enable mode with password “enable”

    Config terminal

    mgmt-user admin root

<hit enter and it will ask you for a new root password>

    logout and login back in

    Then write memory

Second part, if you are in following the password reset procedure, the command to factory-default the controller is: write erase all

Make sure that before you do that, the licenses are recorded so you can put them back after the factory reset. Use the WebUI for that or on the CLI the command: show licenses.
