    Hi,

we just deployed a new SSID for BYOD.

It works with 802.1x EAP-PEAP authentication.

    Everything fine so far.

Is it possible to redirect a user to a landing page after successfull 802.1x authentication?

We have very restricted access for BYOD and the user should know that. We would like to inform the user with a landing page after authentication.

Yes, it would just be tied to the user-role.

So, I could define a user Role with a Landing page behind?

Create a captive portal profile and assign it to the user-role.

    OK,

Do I have to assign the user role to the AAA profile as well? We also have PEF-NG license.

Is it "Initial role" or "802.1x authentication role" in tha AAA profile?

The Landing Page should appear after successfull 802.1x authentication. I don't want to use captive portal for 802.1x authentication. The Landing Page should open after authentication, just for informing the user.

Yes, you would assign it as the default 802.1X role.

    Hi,

    Something seems not working correct.

After successfull authentication, nothing happens. Browser does not open, no landing page.

    - I set up a new user role with reference to the captive portal profile.

    - In the AAA-Profile (802.1X Authentication Default Role) I assign the user role.

    Did I forget something?

I just read an older article, descriped that the User VLAN also requires an IP interface on the controller...

That's not configuret at the moment.

But I think there is no need to configure an IP interface when redirecting to a completley external page?

    Is it correct?

In order for the redirect to work you need an IP address assign to the vlan the user will land on
