License Server for 6.5 and 8.X

    All,

    We will be making the transition from 6.5 to 8.x...I had a question on licesnes server...Currently the License server is on our master controller.

    We would like to setup our VMM and move a couple of controllers on to it. So essentially have both AOS running with a physical master running 6.5 and a VMM running 8.x....How would we be able to do this with the License server on the "old" master? or is this even possible?

    You need to migrate the existing RF,PEF,AP Licences to AOS 8/ Mobility Master. You also need to buy the Mobility Master license. Suggest working with an Aruba partner if you are not. There will be no relation with old master and the new mobility master

    You need to migrate your existing license to the VMM using the HPE support portal or ASP , you can do this in parallel with your production environment

    So if I'm understanding you correctly...We would have essentially have 2 License servers with the same licenses on both servers?
