MC management but local switching?

Hi there,

Say I have a 9004 controllers but 530 series APs. The 9004 has limited connectivity (4x1G), but 530 supports NBase-T (5gbps).

How can I take advantage of the bandwidth? Can I take manage then centrally but switch the traffic locally, directly to the switch (no tunnel to controller)?

Thanks

Re: MC management but local switching?

You would have a bridged SSID.  What wireless client would produce so much traffic, though?  wireless is half duplex...

Re: MC management but local switching?

But will "bridged" support dynamic VLANs and PEF?

Or does it just bridge one SSID to a fixed VLAN?

It just bridges an SSID to a fixed VLAN.  It is not recommended:
