I'm trying to set up a Master-Local configuration, but I'm wondering if I need the same firmware version on both?.

Also I'm kinda confused with the VLANs setup on each, to allow the SSIDs to work properly?

    Thanks,

    EH

    Yes, they need to match.

You can either have the same VLANs on both for failover or different VLANs and then utilize named VLANs to assign to the virtual-ap profile.

    Hi,

Thanks for you answer. Is there a guide to review designs for this Model. I want to check if I'm going to configure this properly.

    Thanks,

Yes, there is a mobility controller VRD. Just keep in mind that some newer functionality like HA are not covered in the document. You should use the AOS 6.3 / 6.4 user guide to configure HA.
