Hi,

I need to get the max EIRP by country Code

i traid this commad , but it did not work with ArubaOS 6.4.4.4

 

show ap allowed-max-EIRP ap-name <AP> country-code <country>

 

any idea ?

What is the exact command you are typing?

show ap allowed-channels ap-name <AP> country-code <country>   (works)

show ap allowed-max-EIRP ap-name <AP> country-code <country>  (do not work)

 

i need to know witch channel and witch max eirp level are allowed by country code

That command only works if the specific AP model is connected to the controller runnign the country code you need to see. If you provide a list of countries you need, someone might be able to run them down. Otherwise you would need to look up each country's regulatory bodies, as it's not something we publish.

where can i get the infomration

You can run the following command from the CLI to show maximum allowed EIRP values for each channel: show ap allowed-max-EIRP ap-name country-code e.g. #show ap allowed-max-EIRP ap-name country-code GB Max EIRP setting for Country Code GB Country United Kingdom and AP type AP-105

kdisc, what version of AOS are you on? That doesn't work at least for AOS 6.5?

 

Edit: Kdisc, you may have a ROW controller, that might work. For US locked it won't. :)

seems that in 6.5 cli guide..the command isnt there :(

I will find out if the removal of said command was intentional in 6.5+ or a bug :) Thanks Kdisc!

actually.... and at the risk of this snowballing the discussion:

 

show ap allowed-max-EIRP is deprecated (quite a while ago)

 

the new command is

show ap debug power-table ap-name <ap> radio [0|1]

 

this came about because of changes to the way we have to sum up power for multi chain APs together with beam forming etc etc.

 

The CLI output is lengthy, but it's somewhat self explanatory (read the info at the bottom of the output). As with the previous show ap allowed-max-EIRP it only works for an AP on the controller itself.

 

tl;dr; there is a new cli command which shows tx powers per rate per bandwidth per modulation per # chains etc.

The power and channel limits are based on regulatory domain. Consider this Ap is provisioned in US regulatory domain profile and below command output will show the max allowed EIRP.

#show ap allowed-max-EIRP ap-name <Ap-name> country-code US

(Aruba) #show ap allowed-max-EIRP ap-name 6c:f3:7f:c7:41:bc country-code us

try: (in 6.5)
to view the current Regulatory-Cert, use the show ap regulatory command.

You can either put an AP on your controller and assuming you have a ROW controller, change the country code in the system profile and move the AP around and then run the command, or you can email your local Aruba sales engineer with a list of countries and they can request, or you can open a TAC case with your request and they can look it up for you.
