Maximum AP that Controller 7010 can support in master-local Mode ?

Yes, maximum user is 2048 and controller 7010 1 EA. support maximum 32 AP. @cjoseph any clue on if the user count increases on the 7010 in this configuration? 

I believe that the limits in the chart are platform limits and are enforced.  Maybe @jhoward  knows.

If your goal is to have 96 CAPs, then you need a larger master controller model. The 7030 would be the next larger master controller that can handle your 96 AP deployment.

For the 7010, the chart mentions Master+Master-Backup for a total of 64 APs in the cluster. Is that Master-Backup required?  I know that an individual 7010 supports 32 APs, but could I do 40 total split between a 7010 Master (without a Backup Master) and 2 7005 Locals?

The master-backup is providing redundancy for the master, but does not terminate APs (except when the master fails). 

That said, it is not recommended to terminate APs on the master because that controller handles other functions for the master-local configuration. The setup may work, but is not a configuration I would recommend.

I was actually more concerned about possible Centralized Licensing issues.  If I have a grand total of say, 42 APs in the cluster split between my hypothetical (1) 7010 and (2) 7005 can I turn on Centralized licensing and use those 42 licenses on any one of the 3 up to their hardware limits?  I'm concerned that because I have more than the total number of APs the master can physically terminate in the pool, Centralized licensing may not work.  Unfortunately, because of budget and location, I will have to terminate a few of the APs on the the Master.  

Yes, the license server can hold more licenses than the platform limit on which it's running. The platform will never terminate more APs than it's limit (16 for the 7005, 32 for the 7010), but the license server does hold the capacity to allocate licenses to the master/local configuration.
