    Hello,

At the moment I have a mix of 225's and 335's and I am looking to get a few 345's. I am wondering about the software between the 225's and the 345's. I am wondering if anyone sees an issue with the mix of the AP's? Also, I am wondering how far the 225's will go in software? I will need 8.4 in airwaves and I am wondering how long the 225's will last in this mix or should I go with 335's?

Any help would be much appreciated!

    Thanks!

    What functionality do you need?

The 335s and 345s are similar, with the exception that the 345 will require AOS 8.3 and can support dual 5GHz operation (both radios operating in 5GHz). Since the environment will be mixed 802.11ac wave 1 (225s) and wave 2 (3xxs), how long are the 225s expected to remain in the environment?

    Thank you, Charlie,

How long we keep the 225's will depend on funding and if we go with 335's or 345's. I don't want to get old tech so I am looking at the 345's. It looks like we will be able to get enough 345's to replace all our 225's but with that said we could also get more AP's and have more coverage for the school. I just don't want to get too far extended with AP's. Will the 225's run on 8.3?

    Thanks!

We have a mix of APs also. AP225,215,315,325,335 also. We are running AOS 8.3.04 with no issues on those APs. Also, as note...the AP225s are dual linked and working well too.

Yes, the AP225s are still supported through AOS 8.4. The final release has not yet been declared for the 225s.
