    Hi,

I am in the position of installing, 2 * Mobility Master (10K) hardware devices and 5 * 7200 Controllers.

The installation of the MM hardware appliances was looking good until, command line looked normal for OS8 can see

    (GCC-DV-MM-01) [mynode] #cd /mm
    (GCC-DV-MM-01) [mm] #

, ( I have already setup a test lab using virtual versions of the MM and WLC using OS8 prior to this install)

I logged into the web gui and i found an unusual issue, one of the MM seems fine as expected but the other MM has the same gui presentation as a WLC. see screen shot.

Is this a build issue? wrong licenses added in production

    Thanks

and it said command unsupported, i was consolled onto the device?

    thanks for your swift reply

    Hi!

The "Command is not supported for this platform" when you issue

*[mynode] #show license passphrase is expected when you run on a hardware mobility master.

It really looks like if your browser still has things cached for that particular IP/hostname. Have you tried CTRL+F5 and other browsers?

Do you have both MM setup in redundancy now? What does "show switches" and "show switchinfo" from your MMs tell you?

    Cheers,

    Hi,

The device i am installing is a hardware device so should be a useable command?

Sorry i tried that no luck, also if it cached it from a previous controller would it update the name and the hardware version? and the other MM works fine and dandy ?

is there a way to blank the hardware device and build it from scratch, using ova, iso file?

    thanks

    Dave

I saw this recently and after restarting the MM it was fine..didnt get a chance to open a case tho.

Are you using any APs that required 8.3.x ? or particular feature in 8.3.0?

If not i recommend to go with 8.2.1.1 instead

    Hi,

Thanks for that i shall give it a try, unfortunately it shall not be until next week installed in a new Data Centre with no remote access! looong story lol

I shall also bare in mind the OS recommendation just went for the latest one as that is just about always the first thing TAC case say are to blame but a rollback might be worth a shot also

    thanks again

    Thanks all,

The Device just needed a manual power down and everything was fine, just a glitch in the matrix

    thanks
