Multiple Cluster one client vlan

Hello Team,

I have create 2 clusters with seperate vlan AP per cluster.

Can i use the same client vlan/subnet across both cluster ?

I mean to configure the same SSID and the clients receive address from a central DHCP server same vlan in both clusters.

Below the configuration of the switches where i connect the APs.

Cluster A vlan AP : 1648

Cluster B vlan AP : 1649

Client Vlan : 1640 subnet  /21

Cluster A

---------------

interface X
tagged vlan 1640
untagged vlan 1648
exit

Cluster B

--------------

interface Y
tagged vlan 1640
untagged vlan 1649
exit

Thank you.

Re: Multiple Cluster one client vlan

Hello,

If a customer moves (roams) from an AP in cluster A to an AP in cluster B, within a continuous RF  will  he have L2 mobility ? do i need to have any extra configuration to enable L2 mobility ?

If the client VLAN is 1640 and is shared on both clusters, L2 mobility is automatic. A client device connecting to APs on either cluster will end up in VLAN 1640 because it is present on both clusters. Is there specific functionality that I'm missing that you're searching for?
