Need help on Routing Guest Internet Traffic

Hello guys,

I'm facing a issue with guest network, In our network we don't use DHCP server, I've configured Aurba AP -207 (RW) for empolyee everything is working fine and Empolyee network is on 172.20.0.0/16 and now I've created Guest Network and it's taking automatic IP address i.e. DHCP (172.31.98.0/23),i'm able to connect to guest network but, i'm unable to browse the INTERNET, though i'm able to ping my gateway 172.20.1.254. Can anyone please help me.

Re: Need help on Routing Guest Internet Traffic

The problem may course.

1. The IP address of your guest network will not allow go to the internet from the Firewall. You can test by setup the VLAN Guest on the router and test go to the internet.

2. If you using AP207 IAP mode, please check access rule make sure the rule permit the internet traffic.

Re: Need help on Routing Guest Internet Traffic

HI Krisadaw,

You want me to setup a new VLAN on router and assgin same guest network IP (172.31.98.0/23) and test the connectivity?

NO ACL is being running on AP, I've put it on ALLOW EVERYTHING.

Thanks for quick reply.

Re: Need help on Routing Guest Internet Traffic

HI Syed Adnan

Yes, make it simple. If you testing with the router and this subnet is cannot go to the internet. Next step checks the AP configuration.

Make sure DHCP server send DNS correctly.
