Number of clients per radio - 255

    Dear Experts.

     

    I recall i read somewhere that as per standard (11n or 11ac) that number of associated clients per radio should be 255 (or 256). I dont seem to find it now anywhere.

     

    Can someone help to confirm if this is the case?

    Your memory is mixing two things together.  Please do a google search for either reference.

    maximum supported number of clients per radio is found in the datasheet of every AP, like the 315:

    But this number is not what you want in real environments. It would be just too noisy for good connection.

    I was referring to the limits imposed by the standard itself. I recall it
    was 255 for 11n or 11ac
