Currently we're using Pantech UML 290 4G cards.  The new cards we've received are Pantech UML 295's.  The current config looks like this:

    config t
    provision-ap
read-bootinfo ap-name <AP_NAME>      (AP_NAME is the name of the RAP-5 that is assigned to it. Default is usually MAC address)
    4g-usb-type pantech-lte
    usb-dial ATDT*99***3#
link-priority-cellular 120                          (Assigning a higher number makes whichever link become what the RAP first goes too)
    link-priority-ethernet 110
master <public ip address of the cotroller>  nnn.nnn.n.nnn
    reprovision ap-name <AP_NAME>
    end

What needs to change to allow the use of the UML 295?

    BUMP

Do any of the Aruba employees know if the Pantech UML 295 will be supported.  6.2.1.0 release notes only list support for the 290 but it appears that it has been replaced by the 295.

I rec'd an email from Aruba support yesterday that the UML295 is not currently supported, but they are working with Pantech to come up with the solution.  Of course testing will need to be done after that.

You may want to contact the Product management team at Aruba and they can provide you an update on which release these cards will be supported.

    usb-type ether
    usb-dev 0x1410b001
    link-priority-cellular 110
    link-priority-ethernet 100
    reprovision ap-name <apname>
    end

Does anyone know if this has been an agenda item covered recently? We are looking at a remote access deployment and support for this USB device would be required. The Pantech UML 295 is the only corporate suppored USB 4G device with Verizon.

New firmware 6.3.1.3 supports the UML295 it can be selected when its provisioned. It still is not available for zero-touch provisioning.

Has this been resolved? I have a call into Aruba TAC but was hoping to find something online we are on 6.3.1.5 code it doesn't have a drop down for the UML 295. I have 7 sites to deploy with raps using Verizon 4G backhual.

    .

Update ***  I was able to get it to work by choosing dropdown Other (Any) and Deivce Type of rndis-pantech-uml295. Then it came up and started working.
