Phones that support DFS?

  • 1.  Phones that support DFS?

    I am looking to get a new Android phone that supports DFS channels.  It does not actually need to use the channels but has to be able to "see" the channels for wifi troublshooting.

     

    My current HTC One (M7) can see the DFS channels but I am unable to get any info on other phones/devices (Spefically the new HTC One (M8)).  I have contacted Samsung and HTC support but the reps at that level do not have this info.

     

    Maybe we can get a list going.  I can see it being handy with troublshooting devices where DFS is used.

     

    I would be very gratefull if someone who has an HTC One (M8) could check.  I used the free App "Wifi Analyzer" and went to an area where DFS is used to check

    HTC One (M7)

    HTC One (M8)

     

    Not Supported

    Nexus 7 (1stGen)

    Moto X

    We use all DFS channels and my HTC One M8 works without issue.

    Yes, i'm able to see (and use) all the available DFS channels.
