Does anyone here have any experience building kits for solar powered mesh AP deployments, or know where to point me for prebuilt setups? Preferably a portable, quick deploy type of build? I'm trying to piece things together, but everything I'm looking at right now weighs about 200 pounds!!

Yes I have, thanks. I'm trying to get a couple ideas together for a customer for an outdoor mesh for daily events. Interested in any full APoaS solutions that people have deployed in the past.

Are you talking something like this or much smaller?

Haha that's awesome. I was hoping for something smaller, that could possibly be packed into a pelican case.

    We would need more details:

Which AP model?  How long do you want to run it outside per day?  If you are going to run it 24/7, you would have too much equipment to be in a pelican case...(solar panel + batteries for a device that consumes 30watts 24/7 with only 4 hours of usable sun).

I would say 8 hours of uptime. Thinking a survey battery being charged while in use by a solar panel. I know that the AccelTex site survey batteries can be charged while in use.

For surveys i run on a 50.000mah powerbank with use the 12v output that can runs 3 days without active clients on a AP-305 or AP-505. Don't no what happens  when it have load of many clients. Can be charged while using.

Poweroak have also some other products with solarpanals.

    This powerbank can't fly ;).

Dustin, did you ever land on a solution for this? I have a very similar use case. Thanks in advance.
