    Hi everyone,

I work on Aruba controller 6.0 and I want to create captive portal from WebUI.

    I follow this doc : http://www.arubanetworks.com/vrd/guestaccessappnote/wwhelp/wwhimpl/js/html/wwhelp.htm#href=Chap4.html

and this too : http://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/ArubaOS_60/UserGuide/ about captive portal.

When I log on captive portal i arrived on the aruba controller and not the net.

I entered good dns and I redirect my captive portal.

    Thank's for your consideration.

PS : Sorry for my bad english I'm french >.<

    Bonjour!

So...in your configuration, the initial role must have the captive portal profile set.  The role must also allow DHCP and DNS to get to that page.  Is there an IP interface configured on the controller? Could you post the relevant config?

If you still get the captive portal after logging on..

It sounds like you might not get the correct role after login?

Either that or maybe you have put the captive portal ACL on your "logged-in" (guest)?

Just some thoughts on stuff to check :)

    Thank's for your resp,

I work on internal network in 192.168.X.0 /24.

the controller have an ip interface 192.168.X.254. I use the controller like a DHCP server.

For a test I put Public DNS 8.8.8.8.

Also, I work with a proxy server in my LAN 192.168.X.247.

I've got a rule for my proxy in the CP configuration.

What are you resolving to on the captive portal?  Try using an internal DNS or use the IP address in the URL field

it does not work with an internal DNS =(

I'm using my cp_prof in the filed default guest role and in the field default role the user role "guest-logon" with the configuration to my captive portal.

I check "User Login" and i put my proxy server configuration.

Guest-logon should be your initial role, not your guest role. Try putting allowall for the default guest role and see if you are able to get past the captive portal.

it's work when I put my proxy configuration in my customer host and when I use the following configuration

    "Default Role : Guest-logon"

    "Default Guest Role : My_cp_prof"

    "proxy server configuration : @IP_proxy:3128"

But I don't want to configure my proxy in the host.

I would like the controller redirects to my proxy without entering the configuration in my machine.

    Possible ?

This configuration is it possible with the aruba controller and a proxy server ? :

Host customer ----> Aruba Controller (Captive Portal) ---> Proxy (Squid Windows 2.7) ----> @_Net

When I configure my proxy manualy in my host, I'm well on the captive portal to the controller.

And next I'm logging on the captive portal and I'm on my proxy server.

it's work with manually configuration on my host. I would like to know if it possible to do automatically by the controller ?

Thank's for your help and your consideration.

I succeeded to log on my captive portal without manual proxy configuration on my host.

But after logging on the captive portal I get on my aruba controller.:smileyfrustrated: I'm not redirect to my squid proxy however.

In my captive portal configuration I create rules to redirect to my proxy and I specify my proxy in the field proxy server configuration.

Have you got an idea please ?

    Dear Friends,

I am also having similar problem, we want to upload custom captive portal page, when we upload out captive portal page the users receives our designed page and it asks from user to enter your name when user enters their name and press login button, it again bring the same page and ask again and again to enter your name.

please note we are using only guest login not user login.

Please advice if someone can help.

    Hey syedmuradali !

Have you verify your "Guest Roles" and your "Default Guest Role" in your CP configuration ?

I Had this problem and I solved it by using this configuration :

    Guest Roles : guest-logon

    Default Guest Role :  My_captive_portal_prof

    Now my problem is :

When my user log on captive portal he arrive to the log page of my controller like if my roles don't redirect to my proxy.

And I don't understand cause I configure rules about my proxy and I redirect to my CP configuration.
