Wireless Access

We have a strange problem that clients are not able to activate Windows or Microsoft Office across our wireless. Connected via ethernet activates software immediately.

Any ideas?

Are you blocking any traffic over the wireless?  Make sure the ACL for your authenticated users is "allowall"

Looks like we are allowing all.

How is the wired VLAN different from the wireless VLAN?  Is it a different subnet?

I bealive this is unrelated to the wireless...

How are your policies different from wireless networks and wired  networks on  your firewall?  I bealive the issue could be there...

No firewall enabled on our servers. Are you asking about client firewalls?

I believe all of our vlans are simply trunked.

Im not askingabout the computer firewalls im asking about the client firewalls like the device that connect directly to the internet...

Nothing is in place.

Another strange thing that might be related, I also cannot RDP to some of my servers over wireless. I can ping the servers and dns is  returning the correct ip.

Well something is blocking the traffic... you have to check between the wireless vlan and between that server...

Also the same thing must be blocking for the windows activation...

IF you want to prove to your client that the wireless is not the problem do this

Trunk one of the wired vlans to the wireless controller

On the VAP change for min the vlan of the wireless you using for a wired one you know its working...

Connect wirelessly,  and everything should work correctly...

Remember to put it back again like it was because using a wired vlan for wireless is not recommeneded

Or you just can create a new SSID put a wired vlan and test... and then put the wireless vlan and  test...
