    Hi@ all,

I´ve 2 651er Controllers, one act as the Master, the other is the backup.

    Both run OS 6.3.1.2 .

The master and backup looks as it works, but the license server don´t work.

At the master I configured the centralized license tap. The vrrp ip-adress is the 192.168.25.100 but I can´t give this to the license server.

So I give an other ip to the license server 192.168.25.101, but it won´t work.

    Must I configure something else?

At the backup I can´t enable centralized licenses:

    Backup also shows many alerts:

There is no liceneses on the backup controller.

    Have anyone an idea?

    Thanks

Did you already configure master redundancy?  Type "show switches" on the master to ensure this.  When you enable centralized licensing in a master/backup master scenario, you should not have to do anything else.  The only thing I can thing of is that the master/backup master is not properly setup....

    show switches

    I would upgrade to 6.3.1.6:

89294 Symptom: RAPs were unable to come up on a standby controller if the AP licenses were installed only on the master controller.
Scenario: This issue occurred when centralized licensing was enabled and all AP licenses were installed on the master controller and the RAP feature was disabled on the standby controller. This issue was observed in controllers running ArubaOS 6.3.

It does not speak to your specific situation but the problem is centralized licenses not propagating to the standby master.

I´m not shure that this is the Problem.

In the Backup Controller under cent. licensing - informtion is no licensing information.

I think I can update the controllers at night. So I can check this tomorrow.

    Have you any other ideas?

    http://www.arubanetworks.com/techdocs/ArubaOS_63_Web_Help/Web_Help_Index.htm#ArubaFrameStyles/New_Licenses/Multi__Network.htm

    "Pre-Configuration Setup in a Master/Local Topology

By default, the master controller in a master-local topology is the primary licensing server. If this master controller already has a redundant standby master, that redundant master will automatically act the backup licensing server with no additional configuration."

If this is not working as intended, it is a bug....

Ok now it works, I think it takes a little time ... :-)

But now I´ve an other problem, at the backup controller there are many alerts:

Must I configure all the roles on the backup controller too?

I think the profiles are configured at the config sync ... ???

    Thanks
