Question about FQLN use

Hi,

We always had problem to shortly define AP location by a simple "show ap database" so we named our APs like "Building-Floor-Room-AP".

I would like to know if we could use the FQLN field to define AP location,

Is this field will still exist in upcomming version 8.X ? And is this a good way to use it ?

(we do not use Airgroup)

Regards

Re: Question about FQLN use

You should continue using the ap-name field to define the location of devices.  There is no fqdn field in ArubaOS8.  There is a SNMP Syslocation field, but it does not show up in many places outside of the AP provisioning screen and Airwave, so it cannot  be easily used to manage APs on a day to day basis.
