As a fish, I got two questions about licensing on AOS 8.0

1. In a MM-based solution, how doest a MC(MD) behave if it lost connection to MM?

a. The MC loses all licenses and cannot support APs or clients.

b. The MC retains its current licenses for 30 days.

c. The MC contracts Aruba Activate and uses the licensing limits defined there.

d. The MC maintains only licenses that have been locally installed on it.

2. Deploying two MM modes which will manage 20 MC that will control a total of 800 APs. How should the company install the AP licenses?

a. 40 AP licenses on the MM

b. 400 AP licenses on the MM

c. 800 AP licenses on each MC

d. 800 AP licenses on the MM and 40 AP licenses on each MC

1) If the primary Mobility Master fails, the backup Mobility Master will retain the shared license limits until the backup Mobility Master reboots. If both the primary and the backup Mobility Master fail, or if the backup Mobility Master reboots before the primary Mobility Master comes back up, managed devices will retain the license limits sent to them by Mobility Master for 30 days

2) The MM serves as the master licensing server for all controllers and services. Licenses for the devices under a particular MM are installed at the MM level.

2. None of the above, you need 820 MM licenses (MM-VA-1K for virtual MM or an MM-HW-1K appliance), and 800 AP feature licenses (AP, PEF, RFP, etc).

For 2), this came in the ACMA v8 Cert exam, with that said there was no option like e) none of the above. While looking at the license requirements, it should be d) 800 AP licenses on the MM & 40 AP on the MC.

Please provide some details as to how to read these questions & arrive at the correct answer as there have been 3-4 different licensing questions that have appeared on the ACMA v8 exam. Need to understand it right.
