RAP 203RP stuck in performing conversion

    Hi,

    setup : 2 x 72xx controllers (master - local) running latest 6.4 fw

    rap 203RP

When provisioning the rap on the internal network : no problem at all.

When provisioning via the internet...  different story...  The rap seems stuck in performing conversion...

How is the setup done?  The rap connects to a public ip, which is nat'ed to the vrrp adress.  Port udp 4500 is allowed on the firewall.   I see the packets logged in the firewall tracker as allowed.  And see the rap as down in monitoring on the controller with the public and internal ip address.  So it's whitelisted btw.

At the moment i'm guessing the vrrp address is the issue?  When provisioning, on the rap i see i need to specify the master controller's adress.  The vrrp address however currently points to the local controller's ip...  Could this be the reason?

Per the datasheet, the 203RP requires ArubaOS 6.5.2 or greater.

My apologies, i was mistaken.  Just checked and we're running 6.5.4.0.

Do you have any remote APS that work?

How are you doing the conversion?

Not 'externally'.  This is actually the first time we're doing this.

When you reset an 203RP, after restarting it broadcasts an ssid.  We login, choose mobility controller, conversion to rap, enter the public ip address of the vrrp and hit go.

You should try making the 1:1 NAT point to the actual ip address of a controller, instead of the VRRP.
