Any plans for a 3rd or 4th LMS IP in the AP system profiles?  We’re doing some DR testing and currently we have the IP’s of our 7210-A and 7210-B as the IP’s for RAPs to point to (local redundancy).  In the event of our site/controllers ever going bye-bye, we’d like to have them failover to our other coroporate office controllers.  Easily done by putting the other office's 7210 as the backup LMS, but then we lose local redundancy.  Three or four IP’s would be nice.

You should use a DNS a record populated with 4 IP addresses

Thanks for the quick replies.  In the past I have tried DNS names in the LMS IP fields and it did not take.  Is there another area within the AP Group where DNS is configure?

You provision your RAP to point at a fqdn. Not in the LMS-IP

You would use multiple DNS entries with health check for this.

    Thanks,

Thanks for the reply, Tim.  Can you explain the health check portion?  Never used that before.

Many public DNS providers can run health checks on services and reply with active IPs

    Thanks,
