I have a network of over 150 Mesh points on 30 Mesh portals. More often I see 2 or 3 Meshpoints going randomly to U flag and then coming back fine after few hours. Reloading the AP too helps certain times to get this APs back with proper flag.

What are all the probable reasons for the Meshpoints to move to "U" flag?

You should open a TAC case in parallel.  There are quite a few reasons why an AP would register as U or unprovisioned and your system would have to be looked at to even guess what is going on.

To partially answer your question, the biggest reason an AP would have an unprovisioned flag is if it has external antenna and the gain is not configured for those antennas. It should not be something that fluctuates, but should be constant.
