Red arrows showing radio down against AP in Airwave?

    First post, hopefully submitted in the correct way.

     

    I have noticed recently that sometimes when we view AP's within Airwave, it will show the radio status with a red arrow next to them. This red arrow when hovered over states 'radio down'.

     

    However, when I click on the red arrow it loads a new screen showing more stats but this looks to clear the red arrow. 

     

    So I noticed the red arrow showing radio down. 

    Click on it...

    Just by doing this clears those red arrows and the radios appears up.

     

    The stats look to confirm that the radio is in fact down.

     

    Can any one say whats going on here?

     

    1 -  this is how it looks when noticed.

    2 - click on 802.11bgn and see stats like below. Confirming radio downstats.jpg

     

    3 - When you return to the main screen again the error/red arrows are clear but this looks to have cleared only because I clicked on it?

    **Extra**

     

    I just loaded this AP up with a heavily used SSID and straight away many clients connected despite the red arrows coming back saying the radios (both) are down.

     

    What are these red arrows? are they accurate? what causes them to appear?

    They are typically accurate.  You might want to open a TAC case so that they can ensure you are not running into a bug..

    Airwave 8.2.3.1

    AP = 224 (Have seen it on 225's too)

    Controller = 7220 running 6.4.4.11 (upgrading soon)

    We had this same error on our 6000 controller before we upgraded to our 7220.

    Hi,

     

    Please upgrade the server to AMP 8.2.4 to fix this issue. We have bug for AP radios flapping in Airwave and fixed in latest code.

    Hi Pavan,

     

    Is the bug that is  fixed in AMP 8.2.4 for AP radios flapping in Airwave for APs in "monitor-only" mode? We also sometimes see radios marked down in Airwave with red arrows but they are up and hosting clients.

    Hi Mike,

     

    Radio flapping issue is fixed in 8.2.4 code, I can not confirm whether it is similar issue without checking logs.

     

    I would recommand to upgrade the server to latest code 8.2.6 and check, if issue still persist then open TAC ticket to debug the issue further.
