    Hey,

due to a migration of a VMM node to a different node we now have a additional MAC address in the mobility master tree in the web UI. Is there any way to remove that?

    Thanks!

Here is a screenshot of the problem. I would like to remove the displayed MAC-address.

I have a similar situation with an unknown virtual mobility master  showing up in the hierarchy.

    answrman_0-1601387238180.png

Tried removing the configuration for the device with:

    no configuration device 00:15:5d:c8:13:38

Received: Error:  Device 00:15:5d:c8:13:38 cannot be removed. Not found

show switches, does not list it as a MD, master or standby.

I upgraded to 8.7.1 yesterday, but the unknown MM was also present in 8.7.0.

Any suggestions on how to get rid of it?  Thanks!

When VRRP is configured between two MMs, the 2nd MM will show up on the primary as the MAC address. The MAC address will change to the MM name when VRRP database synchronization is configured. Check your MM to see if there is some VRRP settings that are still pointing to the other MM. Also check to see if there are any master-redundancy settings still pointing to the other MM.

Encountered the same issue after backup / restore of virtual mobility master to a new VxRail cluster.

no configuration device command worked in 8.6.0.10 and unknown virtual mobility master is removed from the mobility master hierarchy.

    (mobilitymaster1) [mynode] (config) #no configuration device 00:50:56:xx:xx:xx
Warning: Device 00:50:56:xx:xx:xx will be reloaded, if present
