SSID Limit for AP205

    Hi,

     

    I just wanted to know what is the SSID limit per radio for an access point 205 (not IAP).

    The AP supports up to 16 BSSIDs per radio. Not recommended but it is in the data sheet.

    You typically should limit the number of SSIDs that a radio is advertising to 3 or 4. A radio has to broadcast 10 beacon management frames every second for each SSID that it is advertising. These beacons are transmitted at the lowest data rate. This takes away from time that client devices and APs can use to transmit between each other, and can slow down the performance of a network.
