Significance of Local Controller IP address

We're running a deployment with VRRP master cluster and 2 local controllers.

We are looking at moving the LMS IP address on the controllers, but have a couple of questions:

- Does the 'Controller IP address' on the local controllers have to be the same as the LMS IP address?

- What is the 'Controller IP address' used for?

- Will the local controllers use this address for communication to the Master controllers?

Re: Significance of Local Controller IP address

All AP to controller and controller to controller communications uses the controller's ip address.  You can point the LMS-IP to the VRRP (which is a good thing to do), but ultimately, the APs will be communicating with the controller's ip address that it terminates on.  If an AP discovers the controller on an different ip address other than the controller's controller-ip, the AP still gets redirected to the controller's IP.
