Some APs showing down on Mobility Master but UP in Airwave

    Hi community.

     

    We are having a problem with our Mobility Master, the thing is that some APs appear as down but if we check the same AP on Airwave it shows as UP and we can ping them and also if we check them physically we see both leds on solid green status.

     

    Enviroment:

    7210 Controllers.

    Mobility Master 8.2.0.1

    AP-335 and IAP 335 (converted).

    Hi,

     

    We have the same problem on version 8.2.0.2 with 7205 controllers.

    The AP's appear as down in the MM. If i go to the controller all the AP's are up. Also in Airwave all the AP's are up. only on the MM is the status down.

    Yes, same here.

     

    Also we are unable to rename APs. We are trying on the webui and CLI, the AP reboots but it keeps the same name.

    I just found this in the release notes:

    173422 Symptom: The Dashboard page of a Mobility Master incorrectly displays the status of
    some APs as Down although the APs are up.
    Scenario: This issue occurs when all the SSIDs in an AP group are disabled. This issue is observed in a Mobility Master running ArubaOS 8.2.0.1

     

    i can't see the bug ID in 8.2.1.0. maybe it's fixed in the latest firmware version 8.2.1.0.

    So, I will take a look to release notes and maybe we should consider an upgrade.

    Hi, 

     

    We upgraded to the latest firmware version and it's all ok now.

    status is green on the MM for all the AP's.

    Ours is on 8.2.1 and currently having the same behavior.

    Per QA, this should be fixed when on AOS 8.2.1.1 or 8.3.

     

    The symptoms to look for:

    1. show version returns AOS 8.2.1.0 or older
    2. APs with I/U/L flag and AP showing Down in MM

     

    If seeing this on newer than 8.2.1.1, open support case and include:

    1. collect tar log from MM and MDs
    2. screen shots from MM UI of Dashboard -> Access Points
    3. screen shots from MD UI directly, Dashboard -> Access Points
    4. screen shots from MD UI, filter for Missing AP-mac

    I have a same problem too, I don't have Airwave but i see APs up in Controller

     

    Mobility Master 8.2.1.0 don't activate PEF License can cause relate this problem ?
