Has anyone experienced that some Apple laptops running 10.6 OS,  are being identified as Apple TV devices?

I have multiple 3400 controllers running 6.1.2.4 code.

    Thanks,

Please open a support case with TAC, as they will probably want to do a packet capture to see why these laptops are triggering the AppleTV device classification.

Additionally, have you inspected any of these laptops to see if they have any *special* software running?

    Yes,

These laptops are all running a portal program called Novanet.

This is an online learning program.

Not all of the laptops that have this are showing up as Apple TV devices though.

    Thanks

zjennings is right about specific software.

type "show aaa device-type mac <mac address of device" to see what application or browser agent classifies it as an Apple TV.

    Colin,

Is this command correct?  "show aaa device-type mac"

The only one I can run is   "show aaa device-id-cache mac"

The output on the command for one of the Apple devices is

    00:26:08:e9:84:e6  AppleTV/1.1  Thu Apr 19 13:04:27 2012

    Your command is correct.

Now run it for the device that is mis-labeled..

    00:26:08:e9:84:e6  AppleTV/1.1  Thu Apr 19 13:04:27 2012

Looks like an application installed is putting out that browser string and causing it to be mis classified. If you have not done ao, please open a case with support so that they can replicate and possibly have this behavior fixed.
