Spare ethernet port on AP320 series

does anyone know if you can set up a bridge mode ssid to push traffic out of the second ethernet port instead of the first ethernet port?

and a tunnelled mode ssid out of the first ehternet port?

Re: Spare ethernet port on AP320 series

Nice question, had never done that. I just tried in my lab with an AP224 and ArubaOS to set the eth1 wired profile to an unused VLAN in bridge-mode and trusted (had to create the VLAN on the controller as well to select it), then created an SSID that also gets into the same VLAN (authenticated role).

Then put a router with DHCP on the eth1 port of the AP, connected a client to the SSID and validated that I received an IP and could communicate with my router.

So what you try to do appears to be possible. Not that bridge mode on campus APs with controllers is deprecated. And I assume the traffic comes out of port 0 of the AP tagged probably as well (not verified).

If you have urgent issues, please contact your Aruba partner or Aruba TAC (click for contact details).
