    Hello All,

migrating last week to Aruba asp.arubanetwork.com, which seems to be a nice and tidy portal for Aruba products, I wasn't able to find any AOS controller Standard release (SR), however, there is only CR.

what is the key difference between CR and SR? which one is recommended?

    ok got it,

so there is no tag for Standard release "| standard"

I went through the article that explains everything, I would like to know which release is prefered/recommended to use, CR or SR?

    regards,

    thanks.

The "Software Release Types" selector  in the ASP software section allows you to filter on Conservatie and Standard.

    From the article above:

"Conservative releases are for customers who prioritize stability over new features.  Customers who only run code that has soaked in the field at hundreds of customer sites should run the Conservative release.  Releases will typically take ~3-6 months to earn the Conservative tag.  ED is renamed the Standard release with no tag associated with it.  These releases have gone through full Aruba QA testing including system, scale and regression testing and they are fully supported by Aruba TAC. "

    Hi,

Still confusing to me is why for instance Instant Release 6.5.4.12 (released feb 4th 2019) is placed in Conservative Release and Instant Release 6.5.4.8 can be found in Standard Release.

    Hi BarT,

If a software tree is getting the CR (Conservative Release) tag, this tag is preserved when new versions are released.

6.5.4.7 was the first release in the 6.5.4.x tree which got the CR tag. This tag was inherited by later versions.

6.5.4.8 has this tag as well and can be found the Conservative Release folder as well. I could not find it in the Standard Release folder.
