Trying to get Aruba Mobility Controller 200 Working with AP-105

Hi All,

I'm trying to get a Mobililty 200 Controller (Aruba200) working with a few AP-105s and I'm not having any luck getting them to connect and appear in provisioning either through my own DHCP server (with the 43 and 60 options) or the built in DHCP server in the controller. The device is running a very old firmware Version 3.1.1.7, I also couldn't find downloads for newer firmwares.

I've factory reset the AP-105s but I just get a flashing Power light. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Thanks,

Dennis.

Re: Trying to get Aruba Mobility Controller 200 Working with AP-105

Hey Everyone,

Just letting you know that upgrading the controller to 3.3.3.10 resolved all the issues. The AP connected immediately and the licenses showed 1/6 AP's in use without any further changes.

Thanks for all your help,

Dennis.

Re: Trying to get Aruba Mobility Controller 200 Working with AP-105

Please post outputs from these commands:

show ap data base

show license

Run dhcp server from controller and post

show ip dhcp binding

Search community for purging AP-105s.  I think 105 works with AOS 3, but not 100% sure.  You need a valid support to download code.

Re: Trying to get Aruba Mobility Controller 200 Working with AP-105

Thanks @ngutri for looking into this. As requested below. I've also attached a screenshot of the WEBUI. I checked with the vendor who said that 6 licenses for APs are included and it shows a limit of 6 on the screen. Do I still need additional licenses to make them work? HP has kindly given my access to download updates so I can try putting a newer firmware on. I don't have access to a console cable right now, once I do, I'll be able to check the APs. I can't even Ping the APs but I can see them requesting a DHCP lease. Mac address ending 3b:92 is the AP.
