I am new to Aruba, so I apologize if this questions is obvious..  We have an Aruba 3200 Mobility controller and several RAP3 devices that connect to it.  Someone laid a RAP3 on my desk without any explanation.  I know that it was configured and issued to someone and that at one time or another, it communicated with the controller.   Is there a way that I can look at the controller and find out where it came from since I only have the serial number and the MAC address?

Try "show iap table" on the controller.

That does show me the offline RAP in question, but it doesn't give me the name of the device.

If the mac of the IAP is in the whitelist, please use:

    show whitelist-db rap mac-address <mac address>

Thanks!  That did it!  I actually found it in the GUI but it gave me the information I was looking for.

Wireless > AP Installation > Whitelist

    Thanks again!!
