How do you configure a tunnel for guest traffic from local to DMZ controllers when the DMZ controllers have a VRRP address? Is there anything else different or needed besides making the tunnel destination the VRRP address of the DMZ controllers? If I use the physical IP of the DMZ controller the tunnel comes up but if I use the VRRP address the tunnel goes down. I know there are issues with loops and I want to prevent this by using the VRRP address.

You can certainly use a VRRP address as source and for destination of a GRE tunnel on aruba. Check out this post and see if this answers your question.
