To keep a long story short, we have just under 4k AP-325's and 4 7240 XM controllers, and we have been fighting with gaming and Skype latency issues for weeks. If we setup QoS to mark traffic destined for a game server with a TOS value of 46, the latency for that game on our test client stops. We've tested this in clean RF space which still has the same symptoms. We also find that if we test this early in the day with few users, there is no latency, however as usage picks up we experience it.
I'm curious if others out there have experienced gaming latency issues, and if so, what you have done to solve this. We have TAC involved and have been working with ACE for weeks on this issue as well.
