    Hi,

     

    I need to upgrade two 72xx Controllers to Version 8.x. At the moment they are running in Master-Local mode with Version 6.5.3.3.

     

    Is it possible to convert the existing Per AP Capacity & PEF licenses to Virtual Mobility Master and add two MC's? Or do I need to buy VMM capacity licenses?

     

    If not, the only other option would be to install two Standalone MC's, because with MCM + MC I wouldn't have redundancy, right?

    You can transfer the existing AP, PEF and RFP license to the VMM but in order for you the manage the APs and MCs vía the VMM , you need MM License = # of MCs + # of APs
