    Hi everybody,

I'm not used to upgrade my controller but i want to upgrade my 7030 controller to last update.

    Can i jump directly form 8.3.0.1 to 8.5.0.2 ? Or I need a step with 8.4 ?

Will I lose my configuration ?

I check all my APs are compliant with 8.5.0.2. so it's ok.

    Thanks for your help.

Are you looking for a live upgrade? or do you have downtime scheduled?

If the APs support the code then go for it.

If you have a cluster and it is a L2 connected cluster id recommend giving the live upgrade a try.

Is this a standalone controller or do you have a Mobility Master? Also, before upgrading, from the controller CLI run a backup "backup flash". This will create a file flashbackup.tar.gz, which you can see from the CLI by running the "dir" command. You can copy this file to an FTP/TFTP/SCP server, but you don't have to. I will sit there on your controller until you delete it.
