VIA client monitoring

    Hello,

     

    on monitoring a VIA client, a customer of ours noticed that two entries are being shown in the Monitoring -> Clients section:

    While one entry shows the correct (and expected) "VIA-role_Test". the second one always stays in the "logon" role. The second entry also shows the official external IP address of the device, while the other one correctly shows the VPN L2TP Pool address.

    Connectivity is all well, still this second entry with the "logon" role is somewhat bewildering. Can someone confirm this to be normal or is there a way to remove this entry?

    Normal.  One is for the "outer" tunnel that connects to the controller, and the other is for the client that gets its "inner"  ip address from your pool
