    Dear all,

Have we published limit on number of VRRP instances in Aruba controller. One of our customers

has configured 143 instances and is facing some issues.

I do not see any published numbers for that.  What are the issues that the customer is seeing?

Customer was using 130+ VRRP instances and around 8 instances were flapping in Backup controller apparently due to missed processing of the Hello packets (from Master) of those 8 instances.

What switching infrastructure were the controllers connected to?

They claim that the 2 controllers were connected directly.

Why in God's name are they using 143 VRRP instances?

Yes, that was strange, we have advised them to stick to the QA attested maximum number of 64 instances on a M3/3600.

this just doesn't scale. I highly recommend to read some networking fundamentals and design guides.
